I was a proud member of HHT, 1-4 Cav from 1989 to 1991 and served in the Persian Gulf War. I was disappointed to see that no awards were listed under that conflict for individuals that fought in Iraq and Kuwait.
Though there were 3 (I believe) silver stars awarded, and several bronze star with 'V' awards, i can't give you exact details except for one. My own.
I was awarded the Bronze Star with 'V' device for action in ground combat on the night of 27 Feb 1991 in Kuwait. I was presented with the award the first week of April 1991 by MG Rhame.
The entire squadron performed in a superior manner, in the best reputation of the Quarterhorse. I really hate to see a blank space on the web site where the units honor should be.

I served in B Troop 1/4 Cav with LT Pitts as my PLT Leader in Nov 29 1968 to Nov 27 1969 .I can see the faces of our troops in your pictures and feel the togetherness which we all had .Thank you for your site and the past in which you share. I pray that GOD has helped heal our wounds for we know our war was not in vain. I wish he could help me with my spelling

Was in the 1/4 Cav from July 66- Feb 67 Gunner on B25. Was in the Cav again June 69- Jan 70 C Troop TC C17. Saw a pic of LT. Rogan Like to drop an e-mail to him. Retired from Army 1985. Meet a lot of soldiers but none like the members of the 1/4 Horse. Would like to here from any the members. Great Website. Also spent a tour with 4th ID 68-69.

Dear Bill,
Fred Shirley sent me your week 2 news letter and said someone was trying to put a
book together--if I have any info, I'd be glad to help. I commanded B Troop during the Minh Thanh Road
battle and then to Nov 66. After that, I was the S1. I went back to VN and was the senior advisor to
an Infantry Regt in 71-72.

Read your e-mail about the homecoming we had. My nam friend and myself spent
the whole week in Branson. That was the best week we every had. 06/19/05
they had a big gala, there where a lot of singer's from our time. I could
write a long page about it. Those who could'nt make this time missed a great
time. Branson is talking about making it a year around event. I hope so.
Didn't find any of my buddies. I'am with the 1st division 1/4 cav. "B"
