DETAILS TO HELP YOU PLAN YOUR REUNION
Our Hotel
The Millennium Hotel is a scenic setting for our 89th annual reunion. The hotel is situated on the banks of the Mississippi River adjacent to the city's most spectacular attraction, the Gateway Arch. It is located in the center of downtown St Louis close to the city's restaurants, entertainment and sporting events. Check-in will be at 3:00 pm and check-out 12:00 pm. As usual you can stay 3 days before and after the reunion at the same rate.
Transportation from STL Airport
The hotel is located three blocks from the Busch Stadium Metrolink Station and fifteen minutes from Lambert-St Louis International Airport. Discount coupons for Trans Express, one of the airport shuttles, will be included with your registration acknowledgment.
Driving
Parking is available at a garage directly connected to the hotel by an enclosed walkway. Registered overnight attendees will be charged $10.00 per day on the black level only.
Hotel Reunion Meal Specials
The hotel will be offering specials for breakfast and lunch. There will be a cash “grab and go” breakfast in the South Tower as well as breakfast buffet for $10 and a lunch buffet for $11 in the Fourth Street Grill. The breakfast buffet will consists of eggs, potatoes, meat, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, assorted breads, coffee, tea, soda or juice. The lunch buffet will offer a meat, starch, vegetable and salad bar. The menu will vary daily.
Schedule
If your wallet or schedule makes it impossible for you to arrive at the reunion on Wednesday, don't worry. The core of reunion events takes place on Friday and Saturday. We can accommodate you either way. If you can't make the entire event please feel free to join us when ever you can. You won't be sorry!
Unit Command Posts
As is our custom the 2nd, 16th, 18th, 26th and 28th Infantries, Artillery, Quarterhorse/Recon, Headquarters and Support Units, Engineers and Aviation Units will operate Command Posts (Hospitality Rooms) for their units. Veterans from units not listed are welcome in any CP. The size of each CP room will be based on the number of members from that unit attending.
Spread The Word!!!
You can help spread the word about our reunion by sending our News Release to the editor or pressroom of your local media. Please make copies and mail or fax it to all of the newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations that you can. TIP: If you hand-deliver it, they may ask to interview you.
Handicapped Rooms
Please do not request a handicapped room unless you absolutely need to. If you have problems with walking or anything else please indicate them on your reservation form and we will do everything in our power to assist you. Please be considerate of your fellow 1st Division veterans.
Weather and Local Information Online
Summer weather in St Louis is dominated by the air originating from the Gulf of Mexico and can be warm. Please wear comfortable clothes for all tours as well as good walking shoes. Casual clothing is appropriate for most restaurants.
Cut-off Date
The cut-off date for hotel room reservations is July 6, 2007. Please try to get your registration form to us well before that date. After July 9th, hotel rooms will only be available on a space- and rate-available basis.
Hotel Cancellations / Refunds
If you make reservations and then have to cancel them, as long as it is 24 hours before your arrival, we will refund your full amount minus the registration fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours from arrival date will be charged for one night's hotel stay including the tax and the registration fee. Please check with us if you have any questions. Any cancellations to be made before 4 pm EST on August 3rd will be handled through the Society office; after that time all cancellations must be made directly through the hotel as the Society staff will be in transit. Please call the hotel at 1-866-866-8086 and also leave your message for Jen Sanford as well.
Cancellations / Refunds for Tours
If you cancel by July 12, 2007 you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel from July 13-31st you will receive a 50% refund, and after July 31st there isn't any refund at all.

As usual, we will send you a written confirmation of all registration information.
