If you served in the military during the period September 2, 1945 to December 26, 1991 and received an Honorable or General under honorable conditions, you may order the Cold War Certificate as described below. You may also purchase at your own expense the Cold War Medal.

To order the Cold War Certificate, send a letter, written and filled in with your personal information as shown below. You should receive your Cold War Certificate in about six months.

States government during the authorized period of September 2, 1945 to

Enclosed Is a copy of source document with my Social Security Number/Military
Service Number/Foreign Service Number, which verifies my service during the 
ColdWar Era. I understand that the enclosed copy of source document will not 
be returned.
